Back again with a question for the author, Write Sober Edit Sober: please tell us more about how you found your source material and your idea. How did you find these two female murderers on Substack? The story has made me more wary about who I engage with in commentary on this platform, which may well be a good thing, but my loss of some ‘innocence’ in human communication is disappointing. Growing up for an idealist can be hard to do. 🙁

Thanks for the interesting background to your article. It makes it an even better story for me.

Jodi popped up on my feed and I thought it was a fake account / a joke but then I dug further and she’s verified and all. With Casey, someone wrote an article about her being on Substack so I looked her up on Substack and there she was, verified and all as well.

Thanks for providing this tale of female psychopathy. I got hooked into watching stories of both women despite having made negative judgments about people who watch true crime stories. At the end of it all, I didn’t feel good at all.

I became introspective about my personal struggles with denial and my lies to myself and others in order to avoid unpleasant, facts of life. I realised I had enjoyed the distanced objectification of 2 humans with severe mental incapacities to deal with reality.

You are right to point out how the woman who was freed was drawn to the TRA role. She had found her narcpsycho community. and easily confirms that her lies got her off the hook with the help of her cunning legal representative. I am sure she will try to make a similar mistake again and I just hope it isn’t another innocent child and I certainly hope she is made accountable at last.

Your horrifying story is an eye opener into human struggles to be true to themselves and others and I don’t just mean the 2 murderers, but also their parents, friends, the jury, the trial spectators and any one else who made judgments about guilt/innocence. Feeling emotionally drained from confronting reality and cautious about my feminist convictions. I think this is a healthy sceptical approach to true critical thinking and different from my old pattern of doubting and judging myself and reacting by looking through rose tinted glasses that never judged others. A worthwhil though difficult learning experience I don’t want to subject myself to again at the age of 78, while lying in my hospital bed, when my defences were down. Yet I thank you.

I do hope other people choose to write about what she does here on Substack and provides screenshots. The back and forth I had with her was interesting until she decided to block me.

Jodi elected to target someone her own size--much larger actually--and not her own defenseless child.

In my opinion, Jodi's far less objectionable than Casey, in fact not even really objectionable at all.

So, cross-dressing fetishists should be pleased with their new self-appointed publicist. She's perfect for them.

The real difference is that I don't have a collection of Casey Anthony memes which I've found on female imageboards on my PC

Even if she was somehow 100% innocent, it still doesn't change the fact that in the 30 days before her mother forced her way into the house demanding answers then calling emergency services, she did nothing about the young girl notably absent from her life.

I still can't get over that.

Exactly! If she’s innocent of murder she’s guilty of child neglect. Her mother said that her car smelt of like a dead body when she forced her way into the house…

I suspect that Casey is doing this as a way to deal with the pain of being (rightfully) ripped to shreds over her daughter and internal guilt about what she did.

She's using these people to build herself up. I certainly don't think she's sincere at all. She chose the group most likely to fall in love with anyone who is an outspoken advocate for them.

All of the genuine gratitude being expressed by these people is in service of repairing her self esteem.

Thing is, it's not genuine gratitude. Personal Experience w some of these tyoes has taught me that it's Narc Tactics at play. The gratitude isn't really, it's conditional. And... considering whom they gave a mic to for London Trans parade... Yes, it's exactly where she'd go to repair the dmg. Delusion and Denial, Reverse Victim-Offender, it all fits. She's a Flying Monkey for them, and vice versa / quid pro quo.

I think you’re onto something. It truly shows her psychopathy and delusion and that of the communities she’s made herself the defender for. She’s a fucking disgrace.
